TEEN FINANCIAL LITERACY

Understanding the critical importance of financial literacy, Nouveau Riche is taking a huge step in educating our younger generation. As a FREE benefit, Regents Tuition Students—and for a limited time GOLD Tuition Students—now have the opportunity to bring their teens*to College for the new Teen Financial Literacy class! Participating teens (ages 13-17) will not only be taught the basic principles of managing personal finances, they will be presented with essential information to equip them for better financial decision-making that can be put into practice right away!

The teens will engage in active learning, using breakout sessions, interactive exercises and assessments to:
• Understand financial literacy terminology
• Learn why it is important to live within your means
• Learn about various financial management vehicles
• Understand the nature and benefits of good credit
• Compare the advantages and disadvantages of owning vs. leasing

Real-world examples will help the teens learn to manage their money NOW so they don’t get started down the path to financial destruction.
